ἑκά - εργος (ϝεκάς, ϝέργον): far-
working, far-worker, epith. of Apollo, the
‘far-darter.’ Some moderns are disposed to set
aside the traditional interpretation in favor of new ones, in regard
to which, however, they do not agree among themselves.
